Previously
, when you applied round-off settings in a document, it affected the Item
Rate
column as well.
Meaning, if you wanted the
Total Amount
to display only two decimal places, your
Rate
column also got limited to two decimal places as well.
This limited your ability to add rates with higher precision.
With this update,
the
Rate
column is exempt from invoice-wide round-offs by default.
This means you can now enter item rates with greater precision without worrying about the overall invoice rounding.
For example, in the following invoice, even though the
Amount
column is rounded off to two digits, you can still have more than two decimal points in the
Rate
column:

This is, of course, highly configurable.
If you want to apply the Invoice-wide round-off settings to your Rate column as well, you can do that from the "Number/Currency Format" configurations:
